I asked my class if they had ever seen the Milky Way. Nope, no one had. My sincere wish is that children all over the world will have a chance to gaze up at the open sky and see stars at some point in their childhood. I am beginning to understand that sacred moments nurture us for many many years. How can we teach children to love nature if they cannot even see the stars or know that we are all a part of something much grander than our tiny selves? Why love nature? Because everything we have comes from nature.
